The Old Bridge in Eastend

This old steel bridge is one of the first
sights upon entering the town of Eastend,
Saskatchewan.  Over the years the
wooden-decked, one lane bridge seems to
have nestled in nicely over the Frenchman
River, sitting comfortably across the
street from a spiffy, painted wooden
"Welcome to Eastend" sign.

Having coffee with the regulars at Charlie's
Cafe (open at 5:00 a.m.) the next morning I
asked about the bridge.  The answer was
unanimous...no one could remember the
bridge not being there.  I'm good with that.

The fall colours give the setting just that
"little bit more."
