End of the Season

Today was my last official work day of the
season.  The important gardening was pretty
well finished by the end of September and
when it snowed in early October I decided
that was enough for this year and took most
of October to, among other things, explore
southern Saskatchewan and northwestern
North Dakota.

Today was the day to take a final look at
the country acreages and farm yards and
make some plans for next year.  It's a ritual
I perform each year...one last look before
winter.  Gardening is now officially over
for the season.  I'll miss it until next year.

This big sunflower is my "nod to the
season's end."

  1. I always miss the summer and fall seasons, winter can seem so long sometimes.

    1. I know what you mean, Jenn. Maybe we should all go to California for the winter!
