The Symons-Noble Place

The Symons-Noble Place is a short distance east of the
Alberta/Saskatchewan border near Battle Creek in the
Cypress Hills.

These photos are from a back roads trip through the
Cypress Hills on the day before Canada Day.  The sun
was bright and the temperature was high.  A beautiful
day to be out in the hills.

Not that many years ago the section of road that went
past the cabin was simply a prairie trail located south
of the creek.  The new road is now on higher ground
north of the creek and has been upgraded to
"impassable when wet."  Yes, that's an improvement.
Since I didn't have rubber boots and I didn't want to
get my feet wet, I couldn't get across the creek to
explore the cabin more closely.  That's my excuse
for no close-ups.  Next time.

Information about the cabin can be seen in the
photo of the kiosk located near the cabin site.

Photographed on June 30, 2017.
