Gascoigne School 1916-1953 sign

A sign at the location of the former Gascoigne School.
Gascoigne was a community northeast of Burstall,
Saskatchewan in the County of Deer Forks No. 232.

Just north of the school sign is a working rail line
operated by The Great Sandhills Railway.  This freight
train makes regular runs between Burstall, Leader
and Swift Current.

Next time I hope to see the train pass by.  There's
nothing quite like seeing and hearing a train out in
the wide open prairie...even better at night.

Photographed on June 2, 2017.
