Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery

The Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery is located east of the
Buffalo Trail and southwest of Schuler, Alberta. None of
the original grave markers are present.  There is a
memorial marker bearing the names of those
buried here just inside the entrance.

According to information on the Find A Grave website
this cemetery was also known as The Government
Cemetery as people with no religious affiliation
were buried here.

At the time of this visit the old caragana hedge
surrounding the cemetery was in full bloom, the
abundant grass waving in the wind.  It was a
good place to be on that early morning.

Photographed on June 2, 2017.
