Vault in Hatton

This vault is located in Hatton, Saskatchewan and my
best guess is that it was used to store dynamite.
Any ideas?

It has been repurposed by swallows as a seasonal home.

At one time Hatton had a population of 800 and nine
grain elevators; barely a trace remains of the once
prosperous town.

Photographed on April 15, 2017.

  1. I have seen the vault in Tunstall. I have not found any history on that one. Really interesting find.

    1. I can't find any information on this one or the one at Tunstall, but the latter has definitely reached landmark status. It has also been converted into a seasonal home for swallows. Good for them!
