Saint Ambrose Anglican Church (Interior)

These interior photographs of Saint Ambrose Anglican
Church in Redcliff, Alberta were taken several
weeks after the exterior shots.

The church is mostly original, inside and out, to the
building date in 1914.  The round rose window above
the Gothic arched entrance door comes from this time
as do the pews, altar, vestry and better part of the decor.
The stained glass windows depicting Saint Ambrose
and the four evangelists were installed at a later date.

My thanks to David and Cliff for the opportunity
to photograph the church interior after the
Sunday morning service.  Each of you
is a gentleman and a scholar.

Photographed on May 7, 2017.

  1. Beautiful! I recently read about this church and how they redid the roof, but they did it using the same techniques and style as it would have originally been.

    1. That's right, Jenn. It now has a brand new shake roof. The photographs I posted of the exterior were taken just before the work commenced on the roof. I'll post a few of the "new" Saint Ambrose soon.
